I think we can mend my friend have an eye infection. Help?
He is about six weeks old. He eats four small portions of wet food a day and dry food is available all day for him. He is very playful. He is long haired and gray, with (so far) blue-gray eyes. Especially when he's asleep, cloudy and watery gunk is evident in the middle corner of his right eye, slighty larger than the center of the corner of his left eye. Then, the gunk travels, if he blinks, or he or I rub his eyes, a film about his eye. I use warm compresses and clean hands before rubbing and stroking gently out of the sticky mass. At first we thought it was just "sleeping" but my friend and I now believe that this problem could be serious, as she got her cat on Saturday and the problem continues. Even if the cat sees the eye well, there is water. Any suggestions? If a vet visit necessary? Could this just a kitten cold? Can eye drops found at a pet supply store? Thank you very much in advance!
sounds like an eye infection, I would take it to the vet continue to do what you already have to go warm compresses. I also had this problem with one of my cats needs ointment and anitboditcs
